PyBeach Code of Conduct

PyBeach is dedicated to providing a welcoming, harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form.

To that end, anyone attending PyBeach or interacting in any PyBeach online spaces is expected to follow the PSF Code of Conduct. Thank you for helping make this a welcoming, friendly event for all.

Procedures for Reporting an Incident

If you believe someone has violated the Code of Conduct, we encourage you to report it by emailing safety@pybeach.org, which is monitored by the PyBeach Code of Conduct responders (a subset of the overall PyBeach staff).

[The exact list of PyBeach CoC responders is still to be determined]

If the reported incident involves any of the above individuals, email conduct-wg@python.org instead to avoid a potential conflict of interest.

If the matter is especially urgent, please dial our Code of Conduct and safety incident hotline [Emergency phone will be generated closer to the event]. This number will automatically route to a member of the conference staff who can render assistance.

If you are uncertain as to whether the incident is a violation, or whether the space where it happened is covered by the Code of Conduct, we encourage you to still report it, and we will evaluate whether it is within our scope.

When you make a report via email or phone, please include

Please provide as much information as possible. We use the PSF Code of Conduct Enforcement Procedures to evaluate and respond to each reported incident.
