Reasonable familiarity with Python is required, however we are looking for people with a wide variety of backgrounds and experience levels to weigh in. Please only volunteer if you can commit at least 6 hours a week during the first three weeks of July. Previous experience with reviewing conference proposals or academic talks is welcome and helpful, but not required.
If you are an experienced presenter and are interested in helping mentor first-timers with their proposals or presentations, please reach out.
Please apply if you are familiar with the downtown Santa Monica area, and can help us create lists of local restaurants, cafes, hotels, parking, and things for attendees to do in the area.
We want to put together some stage decorations and branding for the event. This is for folks with some artistic and design sense, and who can create a good looking presentation stage on a tight budget. We are also looking for help creating a logo for our conference.
We would like help reaching out to students, local user groups, and persons underrepresented in tech to attend and submit talks.
We will also need lots of people to help out on the day of (and during the week before) the event (Drivers, Session Runners, Registration, etc...). Please reach out if you are planning on attending and would like to help out with any of these types of roles.
